CoCo Harris is thinker whose work straddles the literary and visual arts. She is from Atlanta, GA and has a studio practice in the Upstate of South Carolina. Her current exploration of color, sculpture and abstraction yields culturally-revisionist series that is curative and reimagines. Her 2D and 3D found, made and assembled conceptual works unearth and add new layers to untold narratives.
Before life in the arts, Harris established herself as a global Intellectual Property law professional after studying Engineering at Howard U.
On the other side of her life --and brain-- she received her MFA in Fiction studying under esteemed mentors at Spalding in Louisville,KY. CoCo Harris is the Founding Editor/Publisher of Telling Our Stories Press —a literary imprint showcasing the art of short memoir. As a comedy screenwriter, she churns scenarios from her life into TV sitcoms.
CoCo Harris embodies an ongoing exploration of our humanity, telling the stories of our lives --across genres and art forms.
